Quantoz Payments Debuts Payment Integration, Partners with Potje to Boost Transactions.

Date:

Quantoz Payments B.V. has rolled out its latest innovation, the Embedded Payment Services, a flexible platform based on modular APIs. This new offering is specifically designed for fintech companies, digital platforms, and payment service providers, enabling them to embed regulated digital money, accounts, wallets, payment, and compliance functionalities directly into their products. Among its early adopters, Potje, a Dutch group savings application, has become the inaugural company to utilize this cutting-edge platform.

Through this launch, Quantoz Payments expands its service portfolio beyond merely offering regulated e-money tokens. The new platform is tailored to streamline the creation and operation of payment and settlement solutions across various European markets. It allows businesses to customize their payment systems by integrating specific components, thereby minimizing the hurdles associated with licensing, compliance, safeguarding, and operational infrastructure.

The Embedded Payment Services are constructed on blockchain-native technology, offering partners the flexibility to integrate and scale different components according to their needs. The platform’s features include the management of accounts and digital wallets, handling of inbound and outbound payments, enabling Pay by Bank functionalities, and instituting fraud, risk, and compliance processes.

Potje, the first company to go live on this platform, collaborated closely with Quantoz during its development. As a result, users of Potje can now enjoy the security of having their funds managed by Quantoz Payments under the supervision of the Dutch Central Bank. The platform supports fund additions through a Europe-wide Pay by Bank service, while ensuring that payouts are instantaneous and withdrawals remain flexible. Potje’s CEO, Bastiaan Reurink, emphasized that this partnership aims to simplify and secure group saving, facilitating quicker top-ups and immediate payouts to support their goal of becoming a leading group money account across Europe.

Arjen van Klaarbergen, the Chief Legal Officer at Quantoz Payments, highlighted that this new service grants fintechs and platforms access to regulated digital-money infrastructure without the necessity of developing their own compliance and payment operations. Operating under the existing regulatory framework, Quantoz Payments is licensed as an Electronic Money Institution (EMI) in the Netherlands, adhering to the oversight of the Dutch Central Bank. The Embedded Payment Services are accessible to fintechs, platforms, and payment service providers throughout the European Economic Area (EEA).
