Norway to Donate Ticket Revenue from Israel Qualifier to Gaza Aid

Date:

The Norwegian Football Federation has announced that ticket revenue from the upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Israel will be donated to humanitarian aid efforts in Gaza. The match is scheduled for October 11 at Ullevaal Stadion in Oslo.
Officials said the decision reflects concern over the humanitarian crisis in Gaza, where civilians have endured prolonged suffering from ongoing conflict. Proceeds will be directed to an organization providing emergency relief and lifesaving assistance on the ground.
The move has drawn mixed responses, with the Israeli side urging that funds be carefully monitored to ensure they support humanitarian purposes only. Ticket sales for the qualifier are set to begin on August 25.
The gesture underscores Norway’s intent to use the high-profile sporting event to highlight humanitarian needs while keeping the focus on aid and relief.
